YMCA & ALVaTTc UPDATES - PLEASE READ 'THOROUGHLY'

NOTICE!

'CHANGE of playing VENUE' 

Due to the roof fire, the "Y" is having a COMPLETE makeover.

The 'Y' will probably NOT reopen until February 2024, at the earliest


To compensate and continue play, we have moved our EXTRA TT tables and equipment 'TEMPORARILY' to 159 WEST Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA 18101 


PLAY NIGHTS WILL REMAIN TUESDAYS & FRIDAYS.


DOORS will OPEN @ 6:30pm & PLAY will be to 'about' 9:00 but 'NO' TIME LIMIT!


FREE 'OFF' STREET PARKING in an ADJOINING lot.

Also FREE 'ON' STREET PARKING.


NO SET-UP or TAKE-DOWN required.

Stop play @ 8:50pm SHARP!    ALL players help store equipment and must exit YMCA by 9:00 pm

Thanks also to all volunteers that made our annual SportsFest Table Tennis tournaments consistently successful & 'SportsFest' & Winter Holiday  tournaments the great continued successes over the past 51+ years.

Come meet, and play with members of varied age and ability levels! 

You will play on one of six Harvard/Stiga tables in a room with excellent lighting, and very friendly players. 

Whatever your ability, there are always many peer level players, but if you want or need verification, take a few minutes to see and enjoy, our very own ALVaTTc you-tube video below.

SAFETY is a TOP PRIORITY, therefore, prior to participation,

all players are advised to peruse the Guidelines tab for specifics/details while paying particular attention to Section D.

Open Play

Unless otherwise specified on the Home Page Club Calendar, the club holds Open Play twice weekly. 

The nightly fee for Open Play is $6.00, however discounts for 'advanced-paid' members are available. 

Please see the ALVaTTc Guidelines page for specifics.

OPEN PLAY hours are Tuesdays and Fridays from 6:30pm to 8:50pm*.

ALVaTTc will 'occasionally' host a Table Tennis tournament however only NON USATT 'sanctioned' events. 

The tournament will be EITHER our Spring Classic tournament held in late March OR the Holiday Classic held 'around' the New Year TBA.

These tournaments cater to all age and ability level players and both feature singles and doubles events and are in-expensive. 

Awards are trophies with CA$H awarded in the highest ability level events.

Occasional 'club' tournaments are held throughout the year TBA. 

For all USATT 'sanctioned' tournaments, a USATT membership is required and is available via our club.

Location 

The club holds Open Play nights and tournaments at the Allentown YMCA at 425 S. 15th Street, Allentown, PA.18102.
